Speedway Tech Talk - LS Block Off Plates

6/4/2016
Add Article To List

Most people get rid of the emissions when swapping an LS motor into their ride. Speedway Motors offers aluminum block off plates for the EVAP (91680916) and EGR (91680915). In the early days of swapping LS motors, one common way to block off the big EGR port was to go to the local hardware store and pick up an expansion plug. With this good looking aluminum plug you no longer have to see that out of place piece from the kitchen aisle on your motor. Also, these 2 plates come with the correct bolt and O-ring to complete the install.

If you have stock exhaust manifolds, there are 2 plates to pick from; 91680914 and 91680913. Depending on what your LS came out of, you will want to measure the center to center distance of the bolt holes on the manifolds. Item 91680914 measures 1.75” and 91680913 is 1.5”. These plates also come with bolts and a gasket to complete the project.
