Best Trucks of the 2022 SEMA Show
Trucks are everywhere at SEMA. From mild to wild to "what in the world is that thing," there's something for everyone. Here is a gallery of a few that caught our eye from the 2022 SEMA show.
We really loved this in-progress bare metal '67.
Low angle shows a great stance and perfect wheel choice.
Even the bed floor is cleverly crafted to clear the mechanical goodness underneath.
This International is unexpected and really nicely done.
The blown GM LT4 is also unexpected under the International's hood.
You're bound to see the usual truck suspects at SEMA. C10's, 50's Chevy's and Ford F1's, Bumpsides and the like. But this year we've also spotted several early trucks done in unique ways. Check out that Ringbrothers Enyo, for example. It looks like a mashup of '48 Chevy and Formula 1 racecar. We dig it.
Like "Enyo," this one features big rubber and a huge engine.
The "Excalibur" looks like a crazy mashup of vintage semi and rear-engine race car. The craftsmanship is impeccable.
This Tin Man's Garage-built Willys pickup is the sibling of the Willy's sedan in our booth this year.
The huge Arias V-6 engine would be a show-stopper even without the beautiful pickup surrounding it.
We reeeeeeally dig this C10. There are endless cool ideas and flawless fab tricks.
The engine is set way back to balance the truck, and...
...a transaxle and beautiful independent suspension brings up the rear.
Not so long ago, OBS trucks were just the trucks that everyone's dad had in the driveway. Now, they're classics.
Just a patina Chevy...
...where's the engine? Yup, this one is electric.
We really like the stance and huge meats on the rear of this squarebody.
Yes, we know this isn't a truck. But we're sneaking this Goolsby-built Dodge van in here just because it's awesome.
...and yes, it does have a Hemi.
Cool throwback paint on this one in the NVU booth.
Somewhere under there is a Luv pickup.
Plenty more to come from SEMA 2022, so stay tuned!
