Best Chevys at SEMA 2022
There's never a shortage of great Chevys at SEMA, and this year was no exception. Overall, the quality of cars at this year's event was outstanding, and here are a few bowties to prove it. We're also going to sneak in a few other non-Chevy GM's if you'll permit us...
This year's Ridler winner was this wild Chevy coupe with a twin turbo 509 W-head Chevy engine. We talked to the builder and they plan to street drive this crazy thing!
Here's the wild big block in Tom Bailey's 5 second (!) Camaro. This is the powerplant in the reigning "fastest street car" in the world.
So much clever stuff going on with this C10 race truck.
Check out the transaxle and flawless fab work.
We were in love with this restomod '70 Chevelle.
This '57 had an 1100-horse blown LS under the hood and was show car perfect.
This black early 'Vette was wicked.
Cool.
The Goodguys giveaway OBS was 90's period perfect.
The early 90's Dyno further sold the theme.
This third-gen IROC was sporting shaker louvers. That's right, the hood louvers stayed with the engine when the hood was open.
This beautiful, big block powered Chevelle is the latest from Steve Strope and Pure Vision.
We'll add more than a few bonus points for the Webers and white headers.
No, it's not a Chevy, but this Firebird shows how insanely cool these mid to late 70's second-gens can be.
We absolutely fell in love with this Grand National.
It's still a turbo Regal, but this one is packing an extra turbo and a couple extra cylinders.
...And this one. The joke was that there haven't been this many Grand Nationals at SEMA since 1987.
