Overall Assessment

Our product consistently offers accurate readings, as confirmed by numerous customers. The distance measurements and spring rates provided by the gauge coincide with separately calibrated instruments, adding to the product's reliability. The additional width feature when utilized with a retainer brings in more versatility. While some users found the moving base challenging, others have praised its affordability and practicality. Customers commonly agree that it performs well for various applications, comparing favorably to pricier alternatives. Its usability can be tricky, but it provides effective solutions nonetheless. Overall, the product fares well for its value and precision.

I checked it with a Comp Cams calibration spring. It read the same rate as the calibration spring said that it should. Of course, the gauge only has 5 lb increments, but judging by the distance between the 5 lb increments, it read the same as the calibration spring. I then checked it with a brand new Brodix spring with 240 seat pressure at 1.950. It read 240. I had to use the retainer and add the width of the retainer because it was a dual spring. I found the best way to get the added width was to place the retainer on a height mike and measure the overall distance with a digital caliper. Then I used the digital caliper to measure the inside distance on the pressure tester. It is notched, so that you can get the digital caliper square and flat to take an accurate measurement.

Ok, but hard to stay centered

Not bad overall. But the base that measures the pressure moves. It doesn't stay centered so it is hard ti get an accurate measurement. One side will read a different distance than the other.... If I had to do it iver, I would not buy it again. I have seen a few that were only $100 more then this one that look much better. This unit is very hard to use .. Kyle
