Getting gas from the back to the front sounds easy enough, right? Now take into account hoses, fittings, filters and a properly functioning fuel pump and regulator (if necessary), and things start to get a bit more complicated. Don’t worry, it’s still pretty easy.

The same goes for filters. You wouldn’t want to pull up any nasty crud off of the bottom of the tank would you? We have inline filters, canister style, and replaceable flow through designs from companies like Aeromotive, AFCO, and Kinsler, just to name a few. Each style has its benefits. For example, the inline filters are great for limited space applications. The canister and flow through designs are both comprised of a replaceable element, making changes a breeze, if you mount them in an easy to access location.
Value Of A Good Fuel Line
Now that the fuel is coming, it’s time to make sure that it goes where it is supposed to. Using a good aluminum fuel line like one of these will ensure your fuel gets to its destination. Use a tubing bender of the right size and you will have a smooth flow of fuel from the pump to the filter, and from the filter to the carb.
